In 2023, I had a near-death experience that shattered my sense of time—and forced me to confront what survival truly means.
This book is my response: an invitation to look past the urgency of the now and rediscover the profound rewards of thinking long-term.
Over the past few years, I’ve traveled the world in search of answers, researching some of the longest-running businesses ever created—the oldest dating back to 578 AD. My goal is to uncover the principles behind their longevity and offer tools for modern leaders about how to evolve, stay focused, and preserve what matters in the long run.
The deeper I go, the more counterintuitive the answers become.
I’d love for you to join me. Today, I write The Outlast Journal, exploring the ideas, strategies, and stories that drive longevity across business and life.
Warmly,
Eric Markowitz
